| Rafter Receives Order for Flying Friction Saw Cutoff | 07-09 |
Rafter Equipment Corporation has taken an order for an RT-4000 Flying Friction Saw Cutoff Machine as a retrofit for a major North American tube producer. The saw will be capable of cutting up to 5.000" OD x 0.313" wall tube at 300 FPM maximum. The design includes a "floating home" carriage accelerator system that finishes the cut in the most downstream position to simplify the subsequent handling of the shorter cut tubing lengths. The saw is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2010. |
